Historic Shady Lane Wedding – Addy & Nathan

I was looking forward to this day since I first met with Addy and Nathan. They are two of the nicest people ever and I loved how much Addy was into pictures. Nathan – well not quite so much! The wedding day was hot but beautiful and it all went down flawlessly at the incredible Historic Shady Lane. My favorite moment of the day by far was the first look that Addy did with her father. She’s actually the first bride of mine to do it and I certainly hope not the last. Congrats Addy and Nathan!

Historic Shady Lane Wedding – Nastassia & Henry

They say that it’s lucky if it rains on your wedding day and that couldn’t have been truer for Nastassia and Henry’s wedding at Historic Shady Lane. While the weather decided to be a bit bipolar throughout the day, it thankfully let up for a little bit at points and we were able to use the beautiful grounds at Historic Shady Lane. Every wedding is different but has an overall main theme and that was definitely friends and family for this wedding. I always love seeing how families  and friends intertwine as two different groups of people become one to support the couple. Congrats Nastassia and Henry!

Historic Shady Lane Wedding – Heather & Andrew

I don’t even know how to write about this day because it was just that emotional and incredible. Heather and Andrew are two of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet and their friends and family were no different. Heather and Andrew both looked stunning and Historic Shady Lane provided the perfect backdrop for an amazing day. They left plenty of time in their day for getting ready, first look, wedding party, and portrait pictures which always makes me happy and ensures that I can deliver the best photography possible throughout the day. I can’t thank Heather and Andrew for enough for allowing me to capture their special day and wish them nothing but the best in the future!

Sam & Josh – The Susquehanna Club Wedding

Sam & Josh – The Susquehanna Club Wedding

I had such a great time during Sam and Josh’s engagement session last summer that I knew their wedding day would be special and it didn’t disappoint. There’s usually one point in the wedding day where something doesn’t go as planned and everyone has to help out to get things back in track. In the case of Sam and Josh’s wedding, their weddings rings were left back at their house! The wedding party flew back to their house to get the rings so that the day could resume its schedule. With the help and cooperation of everyone, we were able to get the timeline back on track. We enjoyed a wonderful evening at The Susquehanna Club in Harrisburg and captured some great moments from a really fun crew!

Carolyn & Jon – Lancaster City Engagement

Carolyn & Jon – Lancaster City Engagement

Carolyn and Jon live in Lancaster so it was only fitting that they had their engagement session in the city. I love shooting engagement sessions in the city because it’s full of little nooks that you discover each time you shoot there. I also like to incorporate lots of flash during urban engagement shoots because it helps everything pop and become more dramatic. Stay tuned for more from Carolyn and Jon as they’ll be getting married at Prospect Valley Farm in Columbia in June!

Alicia & Winston – The Hotel Hershey Engagement

Alicia & Winston – The Hotel Hershey Engagement

I was so excited when Alicia and Winston told me that they wanted to do their engagement session at The Hotel Hershey. I had heard so many great things about the grounds and they certainly didn’t disappoint. No matter where we went, there was another picture just begging to be taken. They’re getting married at the Colonial Country Club in September and I’m really looking forward to their big day!

Courtney & Michael – Carlisle Engagement

When I first met with Courtney and Michael to discuss their wedding photography, they asked how I felt about horses and if I had any experience working with horses. Ironically, I did as my aunt owned a horse for a few years and I did a few photo shoots for her. Courtney and Michael (and their families) are involved with the local library so we started off there and then went to the stables where they keep their horse. This one goes down as one of the most unique engagement sessions ever! Keep an eye out for their October wedding at Kennedy Family Farms.

Longs Park Engagement – Nastassia & Henry

Longs Park Engagement – Nastassia & Henry

I meet a lot of fun and carefree couples but I think Nastassia and Henry take the crown as the most fun loving couple I’ve shot to date. As a photographer, my goal is to get my couples to feel and look as natural as possible in their pictures. Nastassia and Henry couldn’t have made it any easier and they reminded me of just how much fun my job really is. We had a beautiful day at Longs Park in Lancaster and I can’t wait for their wedding next month at Historic Shady Lane in York!

Katie & Bam – Lancaster Olympian Engagement

This was an engagement session for the record books. This is what happens when you mix two Olympian athletes/photographers/overall awesome people and one really stoked photographer and give them a few hours on an unseasonably warm Sunday afternoon in Lancaster. Katie plays on the USA Olympic Field Hockey team while Bam played for the South Africa Olympic Field Hockey team. They were such a pleasure to work with and I can’t wait for their wedding at The Booking House that’s just around the corner!
