Lancaster is one of the oldest inland cities in America and is called the Red Rose City because of its link to Lancaster, England. Did you know that Lancaster temporarily served as the capital of the US for a day and was the capital of Pennsylvania for 13 years?
While the Amish community is a large part of Lancaster, there are tons of other popular attractions that make Lancaster a popular tourist area. You can visit the Fulton Theatre (the oldest working theatre in the US), the Lancaster Central Market (the oldest continuously running farmers market in the US), or Dutch Wonderland (the perfect amusement park for kids). Not to mention the hundreds of boutique shops and restaurants located across Downtown Lancaster!
Needless to say, Lancaster is a great place to get married and is home to some of the most amazing wedding venues around! The Cork Factory Hotel, Excelsior, and The Barn at Silverstone are just a few of the many incredible wedding venues available in Lancaster.
