This engagement session started off when it was freezing (in the low 30’s) but it ended in the high 60’s. Talk about a bit of a difference in weather! Leigh Ann and Alex brought along their dogs which were so much fun to work with! I always enjoy it when my couples bring along their pets because they always make for great candid moments that you just can’t get otherwise. Kathleen and Andrew are one of the most fun loving couples that I’ve worked with. We had a blast at their engagement session at Tyler Arboretum back in August and I knew their wedding day would be quite similar. Fall decided to stick around a bit longer this year and we couldn’t have been more grateful because the colors just popped everywhere!

You never know what the weather is going to be like in the fall in Pennsylvania. The day started off absolutely beautiful and it continued that way until later that afternoon when it looked like a hurricane was about to arrive. Thankfully, Stephanie and Jeff were awesome and adjusted along with me so we could squeeze their session in. I’m so glad we did because the weather was perfect and Stephanie and Jeff were one of the cutest couples I’ve ever worked with. Working with family is always tricky due to the nature of photography and mixing personal and business. However, I felt very confident working with Kim, my cousin, and her fiance, Chip, because they valued my work for what it is. We woke up early for an epic Philly sunrise at Race Street Pier and then made our way back to their place for some photos with Stanley, their adorable dog. We ended the shoot by heading to the Italian Market where there were all kinds of interesting things going on.

I had been looking forward to Megan and Adam’s wedding day since their engagement session because I knew how amazing it was going to be. And their big day certainly didn’t disappoint!

The weather was absolutely perfect. The flowers were grown by Megan, Adam, and their family which made them even more beautiful. Everything ran on time (this seriously never happens!). The people were awesome. 

Alverthorpe Manor was the perfect backdrop for the day and the staff there are phenomenal! I really can’t recommend them enough if you’re looking for a unique wedding venue in the Philadelphia area.

A huge congrats to Megan and Adam! I can’t thank you two enough for allowing me to capture your special day!

I was in Baltimore for a wedding on Saturday so I decided to make the most of my trip and do two engagement sessions the day after a wedding. Exhausting? Completely! Worth it? Absolutely!

Cara and Matt were superstars for a very early and chilly sunrise session at Fells Point. It was my first time shooting in the area and I can now see why it’s so popular. The lighting was perfect throughout the entire session and these two were so much fun to work with. I had to stop and pinch myself a few times because things just worked perfectly with them and it felt so natural. Stay tuned for more from Cara and Matt when they get married at Excelsior next June!

Tierney and Troy are such a fun loving and silly couple and I knew that their wedding day would lend itself to tons of great candid moments. Emotions were running high all day (and not in a bad way) and it really helped me to understand how deeply connected everyone was. I’m pretty sure everyone’s faces hurt from smiling a few hours into the day because we were having such a good time. Brick Gables is one of the newest wedding venues in the Lancaster area but they seemed like seasoned pros and did a phenomenal job hosting Tierney and Troy’s big day. Congrats Tierney and Troy!

As soon as I met Alyssa at our initial consultation, I knew that we were a good fit and we were both anxious to squeeze their engagement session in while the weather was still perfect. We really lucked out with the weather and Alyssa and Zach were a dream to work with. I always love when my clients give me complete creative freedom because it allows me to take a few risks that really pay off.
