Addy & Nathan - Elizabethtown Masonic Village Engagement

From the moment that I met Addy and Nathan for their consultation, I knew we would be a great fit for each other. They picked one of my favorite venues (Historic Shady Lane) for their wedding on May 28, 2016.

When we started discussing their vision for their engagement session, Addy and Nathan said they wanted a mix of casual and dressy and they wanted a location with lots of flowers and castle-like features (if possible). I did a lot of scouting online and came across the Masonic Village in Elizabethtown. As soon as I saw it, I knew it would be the perfect backdrop for Addy and Nathan's engagement session.

I did something during their session that I've never done at any other. I started off their session by taking a silhouette. I just loved how the trees and fields fell into darkness and highlighted Addy and Nathan against the sky. I did something during their session that I've never done at any other. I let the two of them I let the two of them "just be" for a few minutes and gave them some distance so that I could capture beautiful expressions like this. It's pretty safe to say that Nathan puts a smile on Addy's face. This is definitely one of my favorites from the entire shoot. I got on the ground and shot through some nearby wheat grass and it creamed a dreamy effect for a dreamy moment between the two of them. This is definitely one of my favorites from the entire shoot. Nathan loves fountains and was pretty excited when I told him that there were a few fountains on the property that we would be shooting near. I had to make sure to include the fountain in a few shots for him. While I love to be super creative and create non-camera aware images, I always capture some simple camera aware portraits as everyone always love them. This definitely has to be one of my favorites. The sky really started taking a turn for the worse so we got in one last epic shot before we headed out to the last location in hopes of beating the rain. Unfortunately, we didn't beat the rain but we definitely ended the session on a high note. Does it get any better than this? Simona & Travest - Crystal Tea Room Wedding

Second Shooting for Melissa Kelly Photography

When Melissa asked me to second shoot for her at the Crystal Tea Room in Philadelphia, I couldn't say yes fast enough. The Crystal Tea Room is one of the best venues in the Philadelphia area and I can't recommend it enough if you're looking for a reception venue. Simon and Travest were two of the nicest people I've ever had the pleasure of working with and they truly kept everything at ease throughout the day. They were down to earth yet were also the life of the party and brought smiles and laugher wherever they went.

Stephanie & Travis - Lakeview Farms Wedding

Second Shooting for Trinity Walker Keefer

The weather couldn't have been more perfect for Stephanie and Travis's wedding day. It was a gorgeous day at a gorgeous venue with gorgeous people and gorgeous details. Needless to say, it was hard to take a bad picture because everything was just perfect. Everyone was so down to earth and genuine and I think it really shows in the moments that Trinity and I were able to capture.

Maggie & Eric - The Links at Gettysburg Wedding

Second Shooting for Robert Lawrence Photography

Jenna & Matt - Cescaphe Ballroom Wedding

Second Shooting for Daniel Fullam Photography

It was a hot day but I knew it was going to be a fun and wild one once I met Matt's groomsmen. These guys brought the energy and laughter all day long and kept me on my toes because I never knew what they were going to do next!

We did a little tour around the city to the popular spots and then headed over to the always amazing Cescaphe Ballroom for the ceremony and reception. I truly can't say enough about how awesome the staff at the Cescaphe Ballroom are. They really know how to take care of the clients and vendors to ensure that everything goes smoothly.

Julie & Justin - Harvest View Barn Wedding

Second Shooting for Daniel Fullam Photography

Harvest View Barn is a new wedding venue created by the Hershey company and it's definitely one of my new favorite places to shoot. The venue is beautifully cared for and the staff there are friendly and helpful whenever you need something.

Julie and Justin's day was spectacular and full of love and laughter. They are truly meant for each other and they had a great support cast of family and friends to help them celebrate.

Cathy & Carl - The Barn on Bridge

Second Shooting for Daniel Fullam Photography

As if getting married on Valentine's Day wasn't enough, Cathy actually wanted lots of snow on her wedding day. It's pretty rare to hear that coming from a bride but she genuinely wanted snow and her wish was granted! Thankfully, it was just light snow throughout the day (for the most part) so we were able to get to some amazing locations that Dan from Daniel Fullam Photography had scouted out. Once we were at the reception, the skies let loose and the snow really fell! It was a very memorable wedding and I wish Cathy and Carl nothing but the best!

Casey & Brian - Ballroom at the Ben Wedding

Second Shooting for Daniel Fullam Photography

What's better than spending your day fighting off vicious consumers hungry for cheap bargains or constantly refreshing your browser for the next Amazon Lightning deal? Shooting a wedding in the beautiful city of Brotherly Love.

Casey and Brian were soft spoken but so kind and totally up for anything photography wise. That's saying a lot too because the weather was quite chilly that day!

The Ballroom at the Ben has to be one of the most amazing venues I've ever seen. It's absolutely stunning and the staff there are exceptionally attentive to guests and vendors. If you've got the money and want to get married in Philly, this is the place to do it folks. Oh, and the food there is out of this world. That doesn't hurt either!

Ashley & Chris - Stoudt's Brewery Wedding

Second Shooting for Daniel Fullam Photography

What's my favorite thing to do after Halloween? To shoot a wedding of course!

It was a beautiful fall day that had some off and on rain but it all worked out perfectly. The trees had that gorgeous fall color to them and Ashley and Chris just radiated energy and pure joy. Their bridal party was a blast as the guys wore unique socks and the girls wore unique rain boots.

Stoudt's Brewery made for an awesome and totally different wedding ceremony and reception venue. It couldn't have been more perfect for Ashley and Chris as they're huge beer aficionados and incorporated beer throughout their ceremony and reception. Ashley and Chris also have huge hearts and love animals so they posted flyers on each table for the City of Eldlerly Love, a group dedicated to finding elderly pets a forever home.

Truc & Minh - Philadelphia/Saigon Maxim Wedding

I've known Truc and Minh since college so I was ecstatic when they asked me to be their wedding photographer. While I knew that their wedding day would be a unique one, I truly had no idea what I was in for! 16 hours, three photographers, videography team, and nearly 500 guests. Yeah, it was a pretty epic day!

The one thing that I really loved about Truc and Minh's wedding is that it was all about family. Vietnamese culture places a huge emphasis on family and that's demonstrated by having two ceremonies, one at each family's home. The families also have a very unique method of exchanging gifts throughout the day which made for some great moments.

After the ceremonies, everyone ate lunch and we spent the afternoon at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and Fairmount Park. The weather was absolutely gorgeous (besides being crazy windy) and it wasn't too crowded so it made for a great time.

The final stop of the day was at Saigon Maxim Restaurant near the waterfront. The venue was gorgeously decorated with bright and vibrant colors. You could tell how much time was spent paying attention to details for their nearly 500 guests. That's no small task!

A huge thanks to Truc and Minh for letting me capture their special day!
