Featured: Sam & Josh's Wedding

It's always an honor to be featured in any publication. Sam and Josh were my first wedding of the year and they were featured by the Huffington Post (HuffPost Weddings). Check them out at #15!

Sam & Josh - The Susquehanna Club Wedding

I had such a great time during Sam and Josh's engagement session last summer that I knew their wedding day would be special and it didn't disappoint. There's usually one point in the wedding day where something doesn't go as planned and everyone has to help out to get things back in track. In the case of Sam and Josh's wedding, their weddings rings were left back at their house! The wedding party flew back to their house to get the rings so that the day could resume its schedule. With the help and cooperation of everyone, we were able to get the timeline back on track. We enjoyed a wonderful evening at The Susquehanna Club in Harrisburg and captured some great moments from a really fun crew!

Carolyn & Jon - Lancaster City Engagement

Carolyn and Jon live in Lancaster so it was only fitting that they had their engagement session in the city. I love shooting engagement sessions in the city because it's full of little nooks that you discover each time you shoot there. I also like to incorporate lots of flash during urban engagement shoots because it helps everything pop and become more dramatic. Stay tuned for more from Carolyn and Jon as they'll be getting married at Prospect Valley Farm in Columbia in June!

Alicia & Winston - The Hotel Hershey Engagement

I was so excited when Alicia and Winston told me that they wanted to do their engagement session at The Hotel Hershey. I had heard so many great things about the grounds and they certainly didn't disappoint. No matter where we went, there was another picture just begging to be taken. They're getting married at the Colonial Country Club in September and I'm really looking forward to their big day!

Courtney & Michael - Carlisle Engagement

When I first met with Courtney and Michael to discuss their wedding photography, they asked how I felt about horses and if I had any experience working with horses. Ironically, I did as my aunt owned a horse for a few years and I did a few photo shoots for her. Courtney and Michael (and their families) are involved with the local library so we started off there and then went to the stables where they keep their horse. This one goes down as one of the most unique engagement sessions ever! Keep an eye out for their October wedding at Kennedy Family Farms.

Nastassia & Henry - Longs Park Engagement

I meet a lot of fun and carefree couples but I think Nastassia and Henry take the crown as the most fun loving couple I've shot to date. As a photographer, my goal is to get my couples to feel and look as natural as possible in their pictures. Nastassia and Henry couldn't have made it any easier and they reminded me of just how much fun my job really is. We had a beautiful day at Longs Park in Lancaster and I can't wait for their wedding next month at Historic Shady Lane in York!

Tierney & Troy - Fort Hunter Engagement

Tierney and Troy decided to do their engagement session at the beautiful Fort Hunter in Harrisburg and I'm so glad they did because it was the perfect backdrop for a great evening. These two were so playful and fun loving and it made my job super easy. We lucked out with a gorgeous sunset at the end of the session. I always schedule engagement sessions to end around sunset as the lighting is the best during the "golden hour" and this engagement session just goes to show you how true it is. Be sure to keep an eye out for Tierney and Troy's wedding in October at Brick Gables!

Stacy & Chris - Excelsior Lancaster Engagement

I'm always amazed at how small the world can be at times. I received an inquiry on my web site and recognized the bride's name immediately. Because she was engaged to my former coworker Chris! We met up to talk about their big day and we saw eye to eye with the vision for their wedding. Stacy and Chris are getting married at Lancaster's newest (and soon to be insanely popular) wedding venue, Excelsior. The venue was still under construction when we were there but it already looked amazing and I can't wait to see it all finished in August at Stacy and Chris' wedding!

Emily & Brian - Union Mills Homestead Engagement

Emily and Brian have a lot of bad luck with weather. Like, a lot of bad luck. Hurricane Joaquin hit on their wedding day but we all made the best of it. Emily and Brian told me that they wanted to do their engagement session in the snow so we planned it for Sunday, January 24th. If you live anywhere on the east coast, you know that's when the historic blizzard hit. Needless to say, we had to reschedule.

However, it all worked out in the end as the snow stuck around and the roads were finally clear. Emily and Brian completely trusted me and were up for some pretty crazy adventures through the snow. It was all worth it in the end though because we got to some beautiful locations throughout the Union Mills Homestead.

Becky & Michael - Sheraton Valley Forge Hotel Wedding

Second Shooting for Daniel Fullam Photography

I'll be honest. I'm not a super emotional person. All of that changed at this wedding.

Michael's father, Tom, has ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) and is confined to a wheel chair. That didn't stop him from playing some monumental roles throughout the day though. The most heart stopping moment took place at the reception when Tom gave his speech to Becky and Michael. He had it recorded beforehand and played through the speakers so everyone could hear it. I remember hearing the first few sentences of it and constantly needing to wipe my eyes so I could focus on getting the shots during the speech. It was one of the most moving moments I've ever had at a wedding and I'll never forget it.
