Kim & Chip – Philadelphia Engagement

Kim & Chip – Philadelphia Engagement

Working with family is always tricky due to the nature of photography and mixing personal and business. However, I felt very confident working with Kim, my cousin, and her fiance, Chip, because they valued my work for what it is. We woke up early for an epic Philly sunrise at Race Street Pier and then made our way back to their place for some photos with Stanley, their adorable dog. We ended the shoot by heading to the Italian Market where there were all kinds of interesting things going on.

Alverthorpe Manor Wedding – Megan & Adam

I had been looking forward to Megan and Adam’s wedding day since their engagement session because I knew how amazing it was going to be. And their big day certainly didn’t disappoint!

The weather was absolutely perfect. The flowers were grown by Megan, Adam, and their family which made them even more beautiful. Everything ran on time (this seriously never happens!). The people were awesome.

Alverthorpe Manor was the perfect backdrop for the day and the staff there are phenomenal! I really can’t recommend them enough if you’re looking for a unique wedding venue in the Philadelphia area.

A huge congrats to Megan and Adam! I can’t thank you two enough for allowing me to capture your special day!

Katie & Bam – Lancaster Olympian Engagement

This was an engagement session for the record books. This is what happens when you mix two Olympian athletes/photographers/overall awesome people and one really stoked photographer and give them a few hours on an unseasonably warm Sunday afternoon in Lancaster. Katie plays on the USA Olympic Field Hockey team while Bam played for the South Africa Olympic Field Hockey team. They were such a pleasure to work with and I can’t wait for their wedding at The Booking House that’s just around the corner!

Kate & Chad – Beech Springs Farm Wedding

Kate & Chad – Beech Springs Farm Wedding

Kate and Chad were a ton of fun during their engagement session so I was really looking forward to their wedding at Beech Springs Farm. This was my first time shooting there and I certainly hope it’s not my last as the property is just gorgeous and everyone who works there is so nice! The weather couldn’t have been any better for Kate and Chad’s wedding and the timeline for the day was absolutely flawless with no stress or issues. Congrats Kate and Chad!

Emily & Brian – Liberty Mountain Resort Wedding

Emily & Brian – Liberty Mountain Resort Wedding

Emily and Brian’s wedding story was a complicated one that had a lot of bumps along the way but ended just perfectly. For starters, Emily and Brian found out that their reception venue (Liberty Mountain Resort) wouldn’t be ready in time for their wedding (as it was undergoing reconstruction) so they would be in a tent outside instead. They handled it really well and LMR really stepped it up with a massive, beautiful tent. When I met with Emily to discuss her wedding day, we joked how the only thing that would really throw a wrench into things would be if we had a torrential downpour of rain and strong winds (because of the tent). Apparently the joke was on us because Hurricane Joaquin decided to show up and really make the day difficult. However, it all worked out in the end and we were able to get a really incredible shot with the rain!

Cindy & Terry – Glen Rock Wedding

Cindy & Terry – Glen Rock Wedding

My photography friend Artemas reached out to me and asked if I was available to shoot a small backyard wedding in Glen Rock for the owners of the Glen Rock Mill Inn. I was thrilled for the opportunity and reached out to Cindy and Terry to arrange the details for the day. The wedding was quite the change of pace (in a good way) from traditional weddings and it reminded me that all you really need is the person you love and your loved ones to celebrate your new life together. It was a beautifully intimate and heart warming wedding and I can’t thank Cindy and Terry enough for allowing me to be a part of their special day!

Truc & Minh – Philadelphia/Saigon Maxim Wedding

Truc & Minh – Philadelphia/Saigon Maxim Wedding

I’ve known Truc and Minh since college so I was ecstatic when they asked me to be their wedding photographer. While I knew that their wedding day would be a unique one, I truly had no idea what I was in for! 16 hours, three photographers, videography team, and nearly 500 guests. Yeah, it was a pretty epic day!

The one thing that I really loved about Truc and Minh’s wedding is that it was all about family. Vietnamese culture places a huge emphasis on family and that’s demonstrated by having two ceremonies, one at each family’s home. The families also have a very unique method of exchanging gifts throughout the day which made for some great moments.

After the ceremonies, everyone ate lunch and we spent the afternoon at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and Fairmount Park. The weather was absolutely gorgeous (besides being crazy windy) and it wasn’t too crowded so it made for a great time.

The final stop of the day was at Saigon Maxim Restaurant near the waterfront. The venue was gorgeously decorated with bright and vibrant colors. You could tell how much time was spent paying attention to details for their nearly 500 guests. That’s no small task!
