The Star Barn at Stone Gable Estates in Elizabethtown Pennsylvania is a wedding venue that offers a magnificent barn wedding steeped in history and rustic style. The lush grounds surrounding the barn feature a working farm, orchard, and vineyard. The Star Barn is a perfect backdrop for the farm and barn wedding of your dreams.

The Star Barn was originally constructed in 1877 in Middletown, Pennsylvania. It was designed by architect Daniel Reichert in the carpenter gothic revival architectural style and built by John Z. Grove & Son from Hummelstown, PA. The barn features a forty-foot-long cupola, a cross-gable roof, the star vent feature, and a 56-foot vaulted stone tunnel. The Star Barn changed hands over the years and unfortunately fell into disrepair with little hope of restoration.

Dave and Tierney Abel decided to step in and in 2014 they had the barn dismantled and moved to Stone Gable Estates where the barn was meticulously reconstructed and restored. Most of the original beams and woodwork were used in the reconstruction. The Star Barn was completed and ready to host events by 2018.

The Star Barn Village offers a wide variety of venue options. These venue options include the Star Barn, the Milkhouse, the Star Barn II, Eagle’s Nest Gazebo, St. Michael’s Vineyard, and the Organic Orchard. You can also select from a wide variety of extras such as a white carriage ride and fire rings. Choose between packages offering Monday-Thursday weddings, Friday or Saturday weddings, or full weekend wedding packages. Weekend packages include full use of the grounds including use of the vineyard or orchard for a rehearsal dinner, and access to Lake Liberty Spring House. Ask about a trail ride with one of their horses! Other amenities feature yard games, pony rides, and a sound system.

Catering at the Star Barn is provided by C & J Catering. C & J Catering offers three preset options for your wedding day but also offers custom packages. They take care of everything from staff, rental, menu, bar service, and more. C & J Catering also offers additional items such as floral design, day of coordination, cake toppers, ice cream sundae bars, and beyond!
